Report reaching The Post indicates that the Executive Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr Kwame Kyei has given more power to Head Coach, C.K Akonnor.
According to the report, Akonnor now has the power to make changes to his team at any time. Whether a player will stay or not, whether a new player will be signed or not are now in the hands of C.K Akonnor.
The Post understands that the move taken by the Dr Kwame Kyei is to bring back the motivation and the strength the players showed during the CAF Confederation Cup campaign early this year.
Kotoko lies second in group B with 15 points behind Medeama and a point above regional rivals Obuasi Ashanti Gold.
The decision by Kotoko to have more power than any other management member was taken today after a meeting was held by the management of the club.
