Kumasi Asante Kotoko legend, Kofi Ntow Gyan has lashed out at the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko for how bad they are managing the club.
Gyan, in an interview on Kessben FM, expressed his worry with how the management of club sign players and also sack coaches.
Gyan said he does not understand why Akakpo Patron has been sacked from his position as the Assistant coach of Kotoko. According to Gyan, Patron is an old player of the club, therefore, he should be given the chance to coach the club as he knows and understands the traditions of the club.
Former coach of Karela United, Johnson Smith has replaced Patron as the assistant coach of the Porcupine Warriors.
He was furious with how former captain of the club, Godwin Ablordey and other former players of the club was also sacked from their positions who were tasked to handle the youth team.
Gyan emphasized how disappointed he is in the CEO of the club, George Amoako since he has been with the club for years.
“George Amoako you know everything in Kotoko, why are you mismanaging the club? he asked”
He again expressed his disappointment with the news that coach Kjetil Zachariassen does not qualify to coach the club?
He asked the Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu to do something about how the team is being managed.
Gyan was again not happy with how the youth team was managed.
“What happened with the youth team?”
“Is it because some people have a share in the signing of players?”
“We can get a youth team in one area in Kumasi alone.”
“Why do we have to wait for players in Kumasi to sign for other clubs and then go after them later?”
“At times I get sad [about how the club is being managed] but I know that one day Kofi Ntow Gyan will handle Kotoko.”
