President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, Kwabena Yeboah has said Nyantakyi’s lifetime ban from all football-related activities “does not surprise” him “at all.”
The veteran sports journalist added his voice to the Nyantakyi ban on Angel FM’s sports show, Floodlight.
Kwabena Yeboah indicated FIFA takes corruption very serious and because Anas backed his report with a video evidence, it was going to be difficult for Nyantakyi to find his way out of the allegations that were levelled against him.
“There’s no way FIFA was going to take it lightly.”
“As soon as Anas presented that evidence to FIFA it didn’t take them more than two days to ban him.”
Moreover, the fact that FIFA came to extend his suspension “does not surprise” him “at all” because there is no way he was going to be given a “light sentence.”
FIFA yesterday banned Kwesi Nyantakyi from all related football activities and also fined him over ¢2.4 million.
