A 12-year old girl at Agogo in the Ashanti Region has reported her stepfather to the police for getting her pregnant.
Akosua Adobea, the mother of the 12-year girl and Rasta Moro the step-father have three other children and live in the house same at Agogo.
The 12-year old girl, whose name has been withheld told her mother that her step-father has been having sex with her at their farm.
Akosua Adobea instead of taking her daughter complain serious told her she wants to collapse her marriage.
The young girl told one of her mother’s friends yet the young girl was blamed for the affair between her and her step-father.
Months later, the young girl got pregnant and her mother, Akosua Adobea gave her ¢5 to leave Agogo and go to her father at Begoro. Even after getting pregnant, her mother still blamed her.
Adobea told her daughter to use ¢4.50 to get a car to Konongo, find a job until she gets enough money to take her to Begoro.
The young girl upon reaching Konongo went straight to the police station and reported her step-father and also asked the policemen to give her money so that she can go to her father’s house.
The police went to Agogo to arrest Rasta Moro and his wife after the young girl reported them.
Rasta Moro has been remanded and will appear before the court in two weeks’ time.
