A 12-year old thief has been arrested for robbing students of Mampong Nursing and Midwifery Training College in the Ashanti Region.
The 12-year old boy, Kwabena Wereko was arrested for stealing an iPhone, ¢120 and other items. Kwabena Wereko, according to reports is the one who breaks into the hostels and steals the items. His accomplice, Kwame Frimpong, a 19-year old man was arrested after he attacked a female student of the school and took her laptop.
The pair were are currently assisting the police in their investigations.
The female students in the school for some time now have been under attack from thieves until the arrest of the two. The police at Mampong has increased security on the school’s campus to restore calm.
Each hostel has been given a policeman to guide the students and escort them to their class and bring them back as there are a lot of bushes around as the thieves hide in the bush and attack the students whenever they are going for a class.
