A 13-year student of Afoako D/A Junior High School has been beaten by his teacher for performing poorly in their end of term exams.
The 13-year old student was given 30 lashes in his palm for getting low marks in the students.
The Post understands that the 13-year old student was not the only one beaten.
All those who did not perform well were to be given 30 lashes, however, the 13-year old told the teacher he would receive all his canes at once.
The 13-year old after receiving his canes could not use both hands and this caught the attention of his father who asked him what happened. His father, Fredrick Boateng went to the school the following day to confront the teacher about the incident.
The issue resolved after the headmaster of the school was informed about the incident.
