France has beaten Croatia to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup for the second time in their football history.
The French scored the first goal in the 18 minute through an own goal from Mario Manzukic. Manzukic could not clear Antoine Greizmann’s freekick as he ended up heading the ball into his own net.
In the 28 minute, Ivan Perisic equalized for her side with a fantastic strike into the right side of the French post.
In the 34 minute, the ball hit Ivan Perisic’s hand in the 18-yard box from Matuidi’s header.
The VAR was checked by the Argentine referee and he gave a penalty.
In the 38 minute, Greizmann scored from the spot kick to put his side in the lead.
Croatia got the second half underway with a more attacking style of football.
However, Paul Pogba broke the heart of the Croatians with a long-range shot to make it 3-1 in the 59 minute.
Kylian Mbappe also struck from behind the 18-yard box in the 65 minute to put the French three goals ahead.
When everyone thought all hope was lost, Hugo Lloris’ blunder in the 69 minute gave Croatia their second goal.
Hugo Lloris tried to dribble Mario Manzukic but the Croatian strike got the last touch of the ball.
Pjaca came on for Strinic for Croatia while Fekir came on for Giroud for France in the 80 minute yet none of them was able to change the tempo of the game as Croatia still controlled the game.
