A 21-year old pregnant woman, Priscilla Sodji, has died at the Koforidua Regional Hospital after nurses ignored to monitor her.
The deceased was transferred from Suhum Government Hospital upon recommendation by the doctors there.
The husband of the deceased, Samuel Mawuli after sending her to the hospital told his sister to stay with her.
Priscilla was given oxygen and drip to sustain her.
The report indicates Priscilla’s sister-in-law after noticing some changes in her breathing went to notify the nurses but they ignored her.
Priscilla who at the time was also in labour started bleeding profusely. She was sent to the theater after the nurses saw what was going on.
Priscilla died at the theater after giving birth to triplets who all also died.
Samuel Mawuli is praying this does not happen in the country and he is also looking for lawyers to sue the hospital.
