Chelsea today began the new Premier League season with a clean sheet, three goals and three points by beating Huddersfield Town at John Smith’s Stadium.
The home side tested the new Chelsea keeper with a long-range shot early in the game but the shot was too easy to beat the world’s most expensive goalkeeper.
In the 34th minute, unmarked N’Golo Kante opened the scoring from a cross by placing the pass by the Huddersfield goalkeeper, Ben Hamer.
Chelsea’s new boy Jorhinho scored from a penalty in the 45 minute after Marcos Alonso was fouled in the 44th minute. Christopher Schindler was yellow carded for the foul.
The third and final goal in the game came in the 80th minute when Eden Hazard found Pedro with a through ball.
With no mistake, the Spaniard made it three for the London club.
Chelsea had 63% while Huddersfield had 37% of the ball possession.
