Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s stadium will see the light of the day as Manhyia Palace has secured a $30 million fund for the club to build the stadium, according to Kessben FM’s Jeffery Asare.
Details about the stadium have not yet been revealed, however, reports indicate the stadium will be an ultramodern facility that will match the status of the club.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the club has started the contraction of a stadium at the club’s Adako – Jachie training ground but after this report, it is not clear if that project will continue or it was just another training facility.
According to Asare, the fund for the stadium is 90% secured.
Kotoko has been using the 40, 000 capacity Baba Yara Sports Stadium for years but when their stadium is completed, the club will look forward to making new memories at the new home ground.
