While there are reports that Asante Kotoko and ABSA will soon sign a sponsorship or partnership deal, The Post understands three other banks have also spoken to the club.
According to the report, Kotoko’s previous sponsors, Fidelity Bank are still lurking around hoping they would renew their contract with the two-time African Champions.
Kotoko’s CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah reportedly wanted an improved offer from Fidelity, however, the Bank could not offer the club want they wanted, therefore, the club opened it’s doors to other banks to come on board.
Apart from ABSA and Fidelity, Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) is another bank which is also interested in being part of the Porcupine family.
Also, there are reports that ADB is also another bank that is interested in becoming the official bank partner of the club.
According to the report, Kotoko is looking for GH ₵ 2,000,000 sponsorship package or close to it.
