4 die in a gory accident on Accra-Kumasi road

Four people died yesterday in a car accident at Nobewam on the Accra-Kumasi road in the Ashanti Region.

According to eyewitnesses, the unfortunate incident happened when a Toyota Fortuna heading towards Accra with only white people in it collided with a taxi while overtaking a car.
The taxi was heading from Konongo to Nobewan with four people in the car including the driver and his wife.
The taxi driver, his wife and the two other people in the taxi died on the spot while the white people in the Totoyo Fortuna escaped with no injuries.

The police and the fire service were called to the scene to toll the car away and also take the bodies of those who died to the mortuary.
