48-year old man jailed for raping a mad woman at a waste disposal site

A 48-year old father of 7, Yaw Anim has been jailed for 10 years by the Juaso Circuit Court for raping a 27-year old mad woman.

The 27-year old woman lives with her family at a town called Akronwe near Juaben in the Ashanti Region. Due to her mental disorder, her family always make sure she is in the house.

On the day of the incident, the 27-year old left her house to attend to natures call. Anim saw the young lady and followed her. He got hold of her when she reached a waste disposal site and raped her.

Anim was caught in the act and was taken to the traditional authorities who then handed him over to the police.
