Armed robbers last Friday attacked the workers of Yonko Pa Cocoa Limited at New Edubiase in the Ashanti Region and stole their money.
The armed robbers who were five in number were all wearing masks and also a worker during the robbery.
A carpenter, Kwaku Kwakye who saw the whole incident as he was not in the room said he called about five policemen yet none of them answered their phone. He called the fire service who came to the scene but had to retreat as the armed robbers fired at them.
The five men who did not come with a car fired at the fire service personnel until they entered the bush and escaped.
The workers of the company do not know the exact amount of money they stole as the armed robbers even struggled to carry the money they stole.
The police later came to the scene but the armed robbers were nowhere to be found.
