In a tragic and horrifying incident, a 50-year-old woman named Esi Dzodzo was brutally murdered and mutilated in Assin Dansame, located in the Assin North District of the Central Region. The details surrounding her murder are disturbing, as it is reported that her clitoris and heart were removed by the assailant.
According to reports from Kasapa News’ Yaw Boagyan, the incident occurred on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Esi Dzodzo, who was a single mother of two, went to a palm oil mill at dawn as part of her routine work. While gathering palm nuts, she was attacked and killed in a gruesome manner. Her head was smashed with an object, and she was repeatedly hacked, resulting in her immediate death. The perpetrator(s) then removed her clitoris and heart.
Upon receiving the information, the Assin Praso Police were informed and they promptly visited the crime scene. They have conveyed the body to the Assin Fosu St. Francis Xavier Hospital Mortuary for further examination through an autopsy.
The police have initiated an investigation into the case and are determined to apprehend the culprits responsible for this heinous act. The authorities are committed to ensuring that the perpetrators face the full force of the law for their actions.
