A female student at Bankoman Senior High School, according to reports has been raped by six men at Banko in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking to Kessben FM, a resident of the town said the girl was given a drink by a mobile money merchant.
The drink, he stated, had Tramol in it so she became unconscious after she drunk it.
The mobile money merchant, who is in his mid or late twenties took the girl to the bush and raped her.
While rapping her, 5 boys who also school at Bankoman Senior High School and were also in the bush saw what was going on and told the rapist he should let them have sex with her or else they will report him.
The students also had their rounds with the girl and left her in the bush.
A good Samaritan found the girl in the bush, took her home and cleaned her up. The girl after gaining consciousness told the good Samaritan what she remembers.
The incident was reported to the traditional authorities who have fined them GHC 500 each, a sheep and schnapps to pacify the gods as it is an abomination to have sex in the bush.
Also, the caller, who identified himself as Kwabena said some leaders in the town are trying to cover up the story saying it will give a bad name to the school.
The mobile money merchant, however, has taken to heels while the girl has been taken to the hospital for medical examination.
The incident is yet to be reported to the police.
