Ghana’s U-17 team, known as the Black Starlets, achieved their second victory in the ongoing UEFA U-16 tournament in Serbia by defeating Spain 3-2.
Despite ending the game with only nine players due to two red cards, the Ghanaian team fought back successfully from a 2-1 deficit to secure a 3-2 win. Benjamin Tsivanyo scored twice before Peter Hammond scored the winning goal to secure the maximum three points for Ghana.
Having previously defeated Spain and Serbia in their opening two games, the Black Starlets will now face Switzerland on Tuesday, April 18.
The main objective of the tournament is to provide young players with valuable exposure and a platform to develop their skills. The team with the highest points at the end of the competition will be crowned the winner.
