The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Benard “Chairman Wontumi” Antwi has said Nana Addo’s victory over the former president, John Dramani Mahama in the 2016 election was because God supported him.
Chairman Wontumi made the comment while speaking on Ash FM in Kumasi.
According to him, “God brought Nana Addo to power” because He was not happy with Mahama’s policies, the things Charlotte Osei was doing as well as Asiedu Nketiah.
“God brought Nana Addo because there was no hope,” he said.
Wontumi also praised the president for the Planting for Food and Jobs policy he implemented as it has created jobs and also made increased the abundance of food.
He revealed he sometimes ask the President “how he came up with the name Planting for Food and Jobs” as “it is catchy.”
The policy, he added, has made farming enticing as everyone in the country wants to start a farm.
