The Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed has indicted that steps are being taken to address the problem between the Police and Military in the region.
The Honourable minster yesterday told reporters that they will punish anyone involved in the clash.
‘We are going to address this problem head-on so that it will never recur.’
‘They have been doing their work very well in terms of managing and maintaining security in the region, the regional security institutions are doing very well. But this is an internal security problem they have among themselves,’ he stated.
‘I am challenging them to address that problem within the next 24 hours and I am also standing here to tell them that immediately they should get their tools together and they move into town and march the principal streets from today going so that the public’s confidence will be restored.’
The minister also indicated that investigations are ongoing so whoever will be found guilty will be punished to deter other officers from indulging in such act in the future.
