While some men become friends with women who reject their proposal, others rather choose to stay away from them. However, it is not common to see a man insult a woman in public simply because she has rejected his proposal.
A man called Uncle Kwabena Ketewa has died after insulting a woman who rejected his proposal at Assin Dompim in the Central Region.
According to the report, Kwabena after being rejected insulted the woman, her vagina and called her names. The woman also lost her temper and cursed Kwabena.
Months later, Kwabena fell sick and died of an unknown sickness. After his burial, his brother, Uncle Okyere inherited him as tradition demands.
A day after inheriting his brother, Okyere started complaining of stomach ache and was rushed to the hospital.
The doctor after examining him told his family he is not sick and discharged him.
Okyere kept complaining of the stomach ache and died a few days later.
The family of Kwabena and Okyere suspected a foul play consulted a priest.
The priest revealed to them that the woman who cursed the Kwabena told the gods that when they kill Kwabena they should kill anyone who will inherit him. The priest then advised them to take any action or else the gods will kill the members of the family as the woman used them as a thank you gift to the gods.
