The CEO of Dreams FC, Kurt E.S Okraku has become the 23rd President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after winning the GFA election on Friday.
His main opponent, George Afriyie accepted defeat after he got 40 votes in the first round and 43 votes in the second round while he got 44 in the first round and 59 in the second round.
Okraku succeeds Kwesi Nyantakyi who was in power for 13 years.
While Nyantakyi 13-year stay in office made him the face of the association in the eyes of most Ghanaians, the first leader of the association’s name rings a bell in the ears of football lovers in Ghana. And that name is Ohene Djan. So far, Ohene Djan is the most successful FA president in Ghana for the things he achieved during his time in office.
