Russia has started their World Cup on a good note by beating Saudi Arabia by 5-0.

The first goal came in the 12 minutes Yuri Gazinskiy and another in the 43 minute by substitute Denis Cheryshev made it two.

Saudi Arabia struggled throughout the game with no serious threat.

Artem Dzyuba also scored a nice header with a few seconds on the pitch in the 71 minute.

Denis Cheryshev scored a spectacular goal with the outside of the foot in the 90 minute and a fine sublime free kick by Aleksandr Golovin in the 93 minute made it 5 for the Russians.

Russia will now play the Pharaohs of Egypt in six days’ time in Moscow will Saudi Arabia will play Uruguay also on the same day.
