Berekum Chelsea has beaten Kumasi Asante Kotoko 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to end their 21-year match day 3 unbeaten record.

Berekum Chelsea’s Kofi Owusu scored the only goal of the match in the 7th minute after he received a brilliant pass from George Renchi.
Berekum Chelsea defended their post well and made sure Kotoko could not penetrate.
In the 17th minute, Kotoko appealed for a penenalty after Sogne Yacouba was brought down but referee Charles Bulu gave a corner instead.
Emmanuel Gyamfi could have made it one all in the 30th minute but missed the chance.
Three minutes to the end of the first game, Maxwell Konadu was forced to make a change as Mudasiru Salifu picked up a foot injury and was replaced by Kwame Adom Frimpong.
Anim Cudjoe came on in the 56th minute after Collins Ameyaw also picked up an injury.
Kotoko kept putting the pressure on Chelsea but they could not convert their chance.
In the 76th minute, Kotoko defender, Empem Dacosta was shown a second yellow card and a subsequent record when Adom Frimpong was the one who should have been given the yellow card by the referee.
The fans threw bottles unto the pitch after the game was put on hold for minutes.
The fourth official added 8 minutes of play after the 90th minute but Kotoko could not find the back of the net.
