This week’s spotlight on the Ghanaian Premier League is on Kumasi Asante Kotoko vs Berekum Chelsea’s game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The match made headlines for three reasons. The first one is Kotoko lost at home to Berekum Chelsea by a goal to nil, the second one is referee Charles Bulu showed Empem Dacosta the red card when he had done nothing wrong and the clash between Kumasi Asante Kotoko fans and the Ghana Police.
Kotoko’s arch-rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak got their first three points in the league after beating Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Sports Stadium 2-1.
Yahaya Mohammed’s brace gave Aduana a 2-1 win over King Faisal in Dormaa while Dreams FC and Legon Cities played a goalless draw.
