The coach of Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs, Ernest Thompson Quartey has called the Kumasi Asante Kotoko team an overhyped team after losing to them 2-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Quartey told the media after the game that his “boys took their legs off the peddle” and that was why they lost to Kotoko. According to him, they made mistakes and that was why Kotoko was able to punish them.
Quartey said Kotoko’s scored goal which was scored by Richard Arthur should not have been allowed as it was a clear offside from the angle he saw it.
“It was very bad officiating,” he said.
“Kotoko to me is an overhyped team,” he said, adding the “split-second” mistake resulted in their defeat.
Quartey was proud of the performance of his boys as he was appointed as the coach of the club two days before the game against Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
