The summit of the Ghanaian Premier League has gotten tight as five teams are currently leading the table with 17 points after 9 games and being separated on goal difference.
Aduana Stars who were in the 2nd position on the table last week failed to move to the top of the table after drawing with Accra Hearts of Oak at home.
While the draw was bad for Aduana, it was a good one for the Phobians as they have moved to the 9th position on the table with 12 points.
Last week’s leaders, Berekum Chelsea has now dropped to the 5th position after losing to Elmina Sharks 3-1 at the Nduom Sports Stadium in Elmina.
While Kotoko struggled to beat Liberty Professionals in Kumasi, their regional rivals, Ashanti Gold SC beat the Dansoman based club by a goal to nil at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
Kotoko had to rely on an own goal to carry the day when they met Dreams FC at the Theater of Dreams Park at Dawu.
King Faisal is still the only team yet to win a game after nine games. The Kumasi based club drew with WAFA at home on Saturday.
Olympics after beating Faisal 4-3 could not continue their winning streak and at home to Techiman Eleven Wonders who are lying 14th on the table and having the same points as Olympics.
