Ashanti Gold has extended their lead at the top of the Ghana Premier League after beating Dreams FC by a goal to nil at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
The Miners got the goal through an own goal by Abdulai Ibrahim in the 80th minute.
Ash Gold and Kotoko were sharing the top spot but after Kotoko’s lose to Aduana, Ash Gold now lead the table with 21 points while Kotoko has dropped to the 4th position.
Kotoko can drop to the 5th position should Berekum Chelsea win their match tomorrow against Accra Great Olympics.
Elmina Sharks also moved to the 6th position after beating their regional rivals, Ebusua Dwarfs by a goal to nil at the Nduom Sports Stadium in Elmina.
Sharks is just a point behind Kotoko with 17 points while Medeama and Aduana are two points ahead of Kotoko in 2nd and 3rd position respectively with 20 points each.
Accra Hearts of Oak after starting their league campaign on a bad note has also moved to the 8th position with 16 points, 2 points behind their arch-rivals Kotoko.
