Former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has been described as an intelligent politician than Mr. Mahama.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party has said former President Mahama lacks the expertise a politician needs to have to be respected.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako explained that Mr. John Mahama was behind the groups who have threatened to cause mayhem should the Electoral Commission go ahead and compile a new voter register.
In his view the flagbearer of the NDC is promoting thuggery and must stopped from promoting such acts.
In an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, Mr. Antwi-Boasiako stated that if persons like Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings would concur with the Electoral Commission to compile a new voters’ register, he wonders why the John Mahama led NDC would kick against such move.
“Nana Konadu is intelligent than Mahama. She is at the level of a tutor to John Mahama when it comes to politics”, the NPP Chairman known as Chairman Wontumi said.
The EC says it will be maintaining its cluster method for the upcoming voter registration exercise although the time spent in each cluster is expected to reduce.
Each registration team will work for six days in each phase within a cluster, a reduction from the initial 10 days outlined for the registration exercise which was postponed from April 18 because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The mop-up exercise has also reduced from five to three days.
The registration exercise will take place at all the 33,367 polling stations, which will serve as registration centres nationwide.
Outlining its plan for the exercise in a statement, which it says will start in the last week of June 2020, the Commission explained that the registration will be done simultaneously in all constituencies nationwide “with each cluster consisting of five registration centres.”
