The majority shareholder of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has reportedly given money to Accra Hearts of Oak as loan as he is not willing to finance the club any longer.
According to the report, Togbe gave the club money to pay two months’ salary of the players and informed the management it is a loan.
Hearts, just like any other club in the world is going through some financial challenges due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
There were reports that the club wanted to reduce the salary of the players by 40%, however, the club denied the report.
It is not clear if the players would have a 40% pay cut now that the majority shareholder of the club is not willing to finance the club any longer.
