A 42-year-old woman, Joyce Serwaa has been hospitalized after she was roasted on fire by her brother, Agya Kusi and a traditional priestess, Nana Yaa after Serwaa was accused of being a witch at Wawase at Jacobu, Amasie Central in the Ashanti Region.
According to the report, Serwaa was home with her children when her brother came for her. Agya Kusi told them they are traveling not knowing he was taking her to the traditional priest.
Nana Serwaa, after accusing Serwaa of being a witch used bladed to cut all her hair and then roasted her on fire to force her to convince.
According to the report, Agya Kusi took her to the priestess for healing as her sister is sick.
After the incident was reported to the police, Nana Yaa was arrested and later released on bail as she was breastfeeding her son.
Joyce Serwaa was sent to the hospital for medical attention.
