Former President of Ghana, His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, has relayed a clarion call on supporters of Asante Kotoko SC to be patient with the new Board of Directors of the Club.
According to the outstanding Statesman whose reign saw magnificent development in Ghana, the Porcupine Warriors can reclaim its pre-eminent position among the elite clubs of Africa with time.
The two-time Champions League winners has been without a continental silverware over three decades.
But the former Board Chairman for the Club, Ex-President Kufuor, believes that with patience and right decisions the Ghanaian giants will soon rediscover its enviable status quo on the Continent.
“The supporters of the Club should exercise patience with the Board of Directors to help them build a team that can compete well to the extent of achieving another Africa glory,”
Ex-President Agyekum Kufuor in an exclusive interview on Opemsuo 104.7 FM Morning show, Nkwantannanso.
“We have gone past the nostalgic moment and Kotoko is not that Kotoko we used to know that is why Otumfuo Osei Tutu II through his unparalleled wisdom has selected people with prerequisite skills to revive the Club, and that will need an unflinching support from the rank and file of the Club,” he added.
