Wontumi radio and TV sports journalist, Collins Atta Poku has in a tweet said he has read on Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) WhatsApp platform that Coach Maxwell Konadu and nine other players of Kotok have tested positive for COVID-19.

Though the report has not been confirmed by the club, the players will not be the first professional footballers in Ghana to test positive for the virus.
Three players of Hearts of Oak tested positive for the virus and there were reports that thirty-one other people in the club tested positive for the virus.
Kotoko will play their first game against Eleven Wonders on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
