Residents of Onwe, a suburb of Ejisu are angry with their MP, Owusu Aduomi for failing to attend to a bridge that has collapsed on the road linking Ejisu and Onwe.
Aduomi, who is also the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highway, according to the resident has ignored to fix the road since its collapse last month.
According to them, he has visited the scene once since the incident happened.
The residents have to alight at where the bridge has collapsed, cross River Oda and board another car before they can get to their destination.
The residents now have to pay more than they used to pay as the transportation fare has become double.
Also, others who do not want to use the road linking Ejisu and Onwe have to use the Accra-Kumasi road and pass through other routes before they can get to their destination. But getting a straight car on this route is also a problem for the residents.
The residents are calling on the government to intervene as they cannot rely on their MP, Owusu Aduomi.
