Asante Kotoko, according to a report by Oyerepa FM will sack 9 players and sign 7 new players ahead of the upcoming season.
There have been reports in the media about the club sacking players which would include senior players.Kotoko’s assistant coach, Johnson Smith in an interview on Westgold FM lashed out at the players saying he would keep only four players if he was the head coach.
“If am to be allowed to do my own recruitment and accessment with this current Kotoko team, only four (4) of the current players excluding the goalkeepers will stay,” Smith said on Westgold FM.
The Porcupine Warriors, according to the report have reached advance stage with some of their targets in negotiations and are waiting for the green light from the board to finalise the deals.
Per the report, some of the players on the club’s list are foreign players.
