The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Ghanaian Premier League club Asante Kotoko are fighting for contract from the National Lottery Authority.
In July 2020, a delegation from the GFA paid a working visit to the NLA to discuss a possible partnership deal.

In August this year, the management of Asante Kotoko also paid a courtesy call on the NLA boss, Sammy Awuku. According to the report, the two parties held discussions over a possible sponsorship or partnership deal as well.

With the new league season days away, the GFA is still yet to get a headline sponsor and per the report, the NLA is contemplating whether to sign a deal with the GFA or Asante Kotoko.
The Ghanaian Premier League has StarTimes as its official broadcaster and NASCO as its Man of the Match sponsor.
Kotoko, on the other hand, has signed deal with Hisense, Ceek, Errea, Ticketlake, Star Life, Star Assuarance, Cedar Vite, Veo, Instat, Goil and Adonko Next Level.
