News of Asante Kotoko getting a new bus this season has trending for months.
There are reports in the media that the club has purchased a new Volvo bus.
However, the CEO of Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has revealed how the club will get the bus without using the club’s money to pay for it.
Speaking to the fans on Time with the CEO on Ceek, he did admit the club will be getting a new bus but he did not mention the brand of the bus. Instead, he said he does not know who told the fans the bus they will be using is Volvo.
On how the club will get the bus, he said they do not have the money to buy the bus but they will get the bus through a sponsorship.
“We have discussed it at length and I can assure you that it won’t be long you will see a new bus,” he said.
“We have discussed it at length and we believe that we are going to close it in no time and have will our new bus,” he added.
He did not mention the sponsor that will be paying for the bus but there are reports that Kantanka Automobile will be buying the bus for the club.
Albeit Kantanka makes cars, the company does not make buses, therefore, as part of the agreement, the company will buy the bus for Kotoko.
