Kotoko to start recruitment for academy, women’s team

Asante Kotoko will start recruiting players for their academy this month, Nana Yaw Amponsah, the CEO of the club has announced.

The CEO made the announcement during the Time with the CEO which was streamed live on CEEK.

The club’s partners, Southampton FC will be assisting them on how to have a strong academy.

However, Nana Yaw did not state the age category they will be recruiting from.

The women’s team, on the other hand, will start next season.

Nana Yaw stated that he has spoken to the club’s board member Evelyn Nsiah Asare who is an expert in women football in Ghana.

There are reports that the club would adopt an already existing women’s team in Kumasi but Nana Yaw did not mention how they will be forming the women’s team.
