Despite becoming the first African country to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the Black Stars of Ghana are yet to win a game in their last six games.
Ghana qualified for the World Cup on away goal rule after playing a 1-1 draw with Nigeria in Abuja last Tuesday and playing a goalless draw in Kumasi four days earlier.
In the last six games, Ghana has conceded nine goals and scored four goals.
The Black Stars lost 3-0 to Algeria in a friendly game before the AFCON, lost 1-0 to Morocco, drew 1-1 with Gabon and lost 3-2 to Comoros during the AFCON and played a 0-0 draw and later played a 1-1 draw with Nigeria in the World Cup qualifying playoff.
Ghana got one point during the AFCON and it is the country’s worst performance at the tournament.
With a new technical team comprising of for Tottenham, Newcastle, Brighton and Hove Albion coach, Chris Hughton, Dortmund Trainer, Otto Addo, Aston Villa U23 coach, George Boateng and former Ghana national team goalkeeper, Richard Kingston, the Black Stars will be hoping to start scoring and return to winning ways before the World Cup in November.
Ghana has been drawn in Group H and will be facing Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
