A report by Daily Graphic’s Graphic Sports indicates that the coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has named two players playing in the Ghana Premier League in his provisional squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
According to the report, Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim and Accra Hearts of Oak’s attacker, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh are the only players from the Ghanaian Premier League to be named in the list.
Crystal Palace’s Jeffery Schlupp has made a return to the national team after he reportedly rejected numerous call-up to the national team in the past year.
Callum Hudson Odoi who is currently on loan at Bayern Leverkusen from Chelsea is also named in the squad though there are reports that he has not yet agreed to change his nationality from England.
