Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey has been nominated for the BBC African Footballer of the Year Award.
The Atletico Madrid star is competing with last year’s winner Mohammed Salah (Egypt) and his Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane (Senegal). Medhi Benatia (Morocco) and Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal) are also among those nominated.

Partey has been in an excellent form this season after winning the Europa League with the Spanish giants last season.

Voting started today and it will end on 2 December 2018. The winner of the award will be announced on December 14, 2018, on BBC World News.
