Asante Kotoko Football Club is alleging that some of its officials were attacked and forced to leave the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park during their match against Karela United in Week 15 of the league.
According to a statement from the club, they are unable to provide updates on the game as their media team and other officials were allegedly ejected from the stadium. The club took to social media to announce that the incident occurred prior to the start of the second half and that they would not be able to continue with text commentary.
No information has been released regarding what caused the attack on Kotoko officials. Kotoko lost by a goal after Samuel Arthur successfully converted a penalty kick in the second half, giving Karela the lead.
