Tickets for the game between Ghana’s Black Stars and Angola’s Palancas Negras are not selling as fast as expected.
The tickets are being sold for ₵20, ₵30, ₵50 and ₵70.
With two days left for the games to be played, less than 2,000 out of the 40,000 tickets have been sold so far.
The last time the Black Stars played a game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in March 2022 against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, tickets for the game were sold out days before the game.
While some people are attributing the low patronage of the tickets to poor marketing for the game, some also believe the relationship between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Asante Kotoko has overshadowed the game.
GFA officials who were in Kumasi last week to talk about the game on radio stations spent more time talking about the Kotoko-GFA relationship.
The Black Stars arrived in Kumasi on Tuesday ahead of the game on Thursday evening.
