Asante Kotoko has terminated the contract of Seydou Zerbo, their Burkina Faso head coach. Zerbo had joined the Porcupine Warriors less than a year ago and is now leaving the Ghana Premier League.
As a result of Zerbo’s departure, Abdul Gazale, the youth team coach, has been appointed as the acting head coach, with less than three months remaining in the 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League season.
According to Asante Kotoko’s official Twitter account, the club and Coach Seydou Zerbo mutually agreed to part ways. The tweet further stated that Abdul Gazale will assume the role of acting head coach.
Asante Kotoko’s recent 2-0 home defeat to Medeama SC has resulted in them occupying the seventh position on the 2022/2023 betPawa Ghana Premier League table, with 34 points after playing 22 games.
