In a disturbing incident at Esan near Assin Sienkyem, located in the Assin North District of the Central Region, a 22-year-old woman, Linda Agyiri, fell victim to a violent attack by her estranged boyfriend. The suspect, identified as Paul Tamakloe, also known as Sean Paul, allegedly stabbed Linda after she expressed her intention to break up with him due to his drug abuse.
According to reports, the troubling relationship issue had been ongoing for a year, prompting Paul to visit Linda’s residence around 8:30 pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in an attempt to resolve their differences. However, Linda’s father, Evans Agyiri, insisted that his daughter was asleep and advised Paul to return another day. This led to an argument and subsequent scuffle between the two men.
During the altercation, Paul reportedly stabbed his father-in-law. In a courageous attempt to intervene and separate the men, Linda received a deep cut on her head, causing profuse bleeding. Swiftly, both the injured father and daughter were rushed to St. Francis Hospital in Assin Fosu for immediate medical attention.
Paul, apparently feeling jilted, claimed that he had been financially supporting Linda and had even paid for her apprenticeship. Nevertheless, Evans vehemently denied these claims.
In her explanation for ending the relationship, Linda cited her discovery of Paul’s drug use and rude behavior, leading her to take the difficult decision to break up with him. She now seeks police intervention to ensure the safety of her family, considering the threat posed by her estranged boyfriend.
The case has been officially reported to the police, and they are currently conducting investigations into the matter. Authorities will be looking into the violent incident and gathering evidence to bring the suspect to justice.
