Primetime Limited, the organizer of the National Science & Math Quiz (NSMQ), has officially rescheduled the date for the 2023 NSMQ Grand Finale. This rescheduling decision has been made as a mark of respect to the late Ga Manye Naa Dedei III.
Originally, the grand finale was set to take place on October 24, 2023. However, in a statement released by Primetime, the new date for the highly anticipated Grand Finale has been confirmed for Tuesday, October 31, 2023, and the event will still be held at the National Theatre in Accra.
The statement from Primetime Limited reads, “Primetime Limited announces that, in keeping with tradition and to honor the memory of the late Ga Manye Naa Dedei III, the Grand Finale of the National Science & Math Quiz, initially scheduled for Tuesday, October 24, 2023, has been postponed. The new date for the Grand Finale is Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at the National Theatre in Accra.”
Furthermore, the NSMQ organizers expressed their condolences to the Ga Mantse and the entire Ga community during this time of mourning. The statement conveyed, “Primetime conveys its deepest condolences to His Majesty King Tarkie II, Ga Mantse NIimei, Naamei, and the Ga State during this period of mourning. May the soul of our beloved Queen Mother forever rest in peace.”
In the ongoing competition, Presbyterian Boys Senior High Schoo, Achimota School and Opoku Ware Senior High School have made it to the final.
