Osimhen, Mane, Salah, Hakimi, Mahrez listed in top 15 AFCON 2023 stars

Heading into the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast, the top players have been identified, with Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, the reigning African Footballer of the Year, and Victor Osimhen from Nigeria securing the first and second positions, respectively, on a 15-man list.

Following closely in the third to fifth spots are Sadio Mane from Senegal, Achraf Hakimi representing Morocco, and Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez.

Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus clinched the sixth position, standing as the sole Ghanaian player on the list. Kudus, who has been showcasing impressive performances for West Ham, is set to join the Black Stars camp in Kumasi in preparation for the AFCON, which is set to kick off in a week.
