Former Asante Kotoko left-back, Ibrahim Imoro wants to return to his formal club.
Imoro joined Sudanese club, Al Hilal Omdurman from Asante Kotoko last seasons, however, he has reportedly terminated his contract with the club due to the ongoing war in Sudan.
According to the report, Kotoko wanted to sign him at the start of the season as coach Ogum wanted him to be part of his team but Imoro was not ready to rejoin his formal club as he was expecting a contract from Norway and Finland, Oyerepa Radio reports.
Imoro who has been in Ghana for about five months now, per the report, is ready to rejoin his club as it is likely that the deals he is expected from Europe might not happen anytime soon.
As it stands now it is not clear if Kotoko would want to sign him now as questions are being asked if he is indeed free to play for a different club as Hilal in a tweet said they would take action against him for terminating his contract.
Imoro was part of the Kotoko team that won the league two seasons ago during Ogum’s first stint at the club.
