Fatawu Abdul Shafiu and Solomon Sarfo Taylor have reported Asante Kotoko to the Professional Footballers Association Ghana for unfair treatment.
Taylor who was not registered by the club for the ongoing season after being declared surplus to requirement, reported the club to the association after the club allegedly reported him to the Ghana Football Association for double registration although they are paying his salary every month.
According to reports, someone told the club Taylor used a different name when he started playing professional football and that the name is still in the FA system. This made the club report him to the Ghana Football Association. There have also been reports that Kotoko has been trying to terminate his contract for month but has not been able to reach an agreement with the former Karela United player.
Shafiu, on the other hand, reported his former club to PFA after his contract was terminated. Shafiu rejoined his former club last month but the contract was terminated after an MRI Scan revealed that he has an injury that he needs to do surgery. According to a report, the player is not happy with how his contract was terminated after he sustained the injury while training with the club.
