Former Ghanaian boxer, Braimah Kamoko, commonly known as Bukom Banku, recently opened up about his family life, revealing details about his children during an interview on the 3FM Drive with Giovani Caleb.
Bukom Banku shared that he is a father to 13 children, each from different mothers. Among his offspring, he noted that ten bear a resemblance to him, while the remaining three take after their respective mothers.
Highlighting his son Abu Kamoko, who has followed in his father’s footsteps by pursuing boxing, Bukom Banku emphasized that Abu Kamoko shares the strongest resemblance to him among all his children.
During the interview, when questioned about whether he would consider conducting a DNA test if his children did not bear any resemblance to either parent, Bukom Banku humorously responded, “Kwerh..fast game. My blood is thick so you have to born Banku Fresh.”
Addressing his son’s loss in a recent boxing match during the African Games, Bukom Banku explained that Abu Kamoko’s performance was affected by fear due to the large crowd. Despite the setback, he expressed confidence in his son’s abilities, asserting that his opponent was no match for Abu Kamoko.
Bukom Banku also revealed that he had been involved in training Abu Kamoko since he was seven years old, indicating his commitment to supporting his son’s boxing career.
