Asante Kotoko has confirmed its return to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the remainder of the season.
The Porcupine Warriors had previously used the Len Clay Sports Stadium as their home venue after the closure of Baba Yara for renovation.
The National Sports Authority had temporarily shut down Baba Yara following the withdrawal of its license by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which barred the Black Stars from hosting international matches there.
However, with the completion of renovations, Kotoko will now resume playing their home matches at the iconic stadium.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, November 28, the club expressed its excitement about the return.
“We are pleased to announce our return to the Baba Yara Stadium for our remaining home matches of the season. This decision was made following an official communication confirming the completion of maintenance work at our historic home venue,” Kotoko announced.
This announcement also means the first Super Clash of the season between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will be played at Baba Yara Sports Stadium once the Ghana Premier League resumes after the December 7 elections.
